Nowadays, in the surface treatment field, every action is aimed at improving sustainability through low-energy, circular-economy, high-durability, and high-protection materials. The treatment of walls and façades is decisive for these objectives and the architecture sector is at the forefront in terms of both economic importance (50% of paint products is intended for this industry) and social impact. At the same time, the choices made for architectural elements are linked to their decorative characteristics, as they should arise pleasant sensations. Therefore, material manufacturers try to adapt to such needs in terms of both production technology and selection of sustainable materials. This conference will enable researchers, architects, and engineers to meet one of the largest architectural material and coating manufacturer with the aim of discussing current functional and decorative technologies and new design trends.
