Poliefun-Politecnico di Milano promotes and supports the Degree Course in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology with a particular attention to its specialisation in Surface Treatment Engineering for the training of professionals with Bachelor’s (3 years) and Master’s (5 years) Degrees.

The Degree Course in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology is offered by a modern school of engineering. It creates career opportunities in very wide and diverse fields, in both industry and research as well as in sectors relating to the design of different types of material, such as metals and alloys, ceramic materials, concrete, glass, polymers, natural fibres, wood, and composites, or relating to their employment, if a wider understanding of the production processes is needed.

The Degree Course in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology wad developed to train professionals with such operational, managerial, and planning capabilities as to allow them to work in companies operating in the economic community to which Italy belongs, and whose borders are certainly wider than national ones.

The specialisation in Surface Treatment Engineering was created based on the request of the numerous firms that operate in the surface technology field and it was developed also thanks to their resources and suggestions. These companies also offer specific application laboratories with special production plants, internships, and apprenticeships related to different industrial applications.
